Vergílio Ferreira, who was born in the village of Melo (Gouveia) on January 28, 1916 and died in Lisbon on March 1, 1996, was "a unique author in the history of Portuguese literature" and the Évora Chamber wants to honor him with this touristic tour.

Bento, the Roman Temple, the Café Arcada or the Porta de Moura and Luís de Camões squares are other stopping points in the circuit, with "references to the novel by Vergílio Ferreira".
